About lampworking

Lampworking is the art of making glass beads in a flame.  I use mainly Italian glass which is heated and wound around a rod - called a mandrel - which forms the hole.  The beads are decorared and placed in a kiln where they are annealed to give them strength and durability.  I sell my beads on my website:
